Welcome to Leonies Academy of Dance! Located in Kennington, Bendigo, Leonie's Academy of Dance is a ballet, jazz, and tap dancing school. Our mission is to inspire a great love of dance while offering quality dance experiences to mould the dancer into artists in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

At Leonie's Academy, we cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're looking to dance socially or have aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, we have both competition and non-competition classes to suit your goals. Our goal is to provide the best training possible, which is why we have a team of qualified and experienced staff dedicated to helping our students reach their full potential.

One of our proudest offerings is the Cecchetti ballet syllabus, which allows students to undertake examinations from Primary to Advanced 2 levels. Additionally, we offer open ballet classes for those who simply want to enjoy the beauty and grace of ballet.

For our youngest dancers, we have the exciting “The Fairies Dance Programme. ” Designed for children ages 2 and a half to 5 years old, this programme combines ballet, jazz, music, and rhythm to introduce the fundamentals of dance technique in a fun and creative way. It's the perfect class to inspire a love of dance at an early age.

At Leonie's Academy, we also offer the Southern Federation of Dance Jazz and Tap syllabus, which helps students further develop their technique in these popular dance styles. Students have the opportunity to participate in examinations to showcase their progress.

For those looking to expand their skills and broaden their performance abilities, we offer a Heels class. Dancing in heels requires skill, technique, and confidence. This class focuses on building core strength and balance, giving students the opportunity to excel in Commercial, Broadway, and Stage shows.

Additionally, we offer Contemporary and Lyrical classes, which combine ballet and jazz movements with abstract and expressive elements. These classes focus on flexibility and flowing movements to help students create a unique and personal dance style.

Our studio is newly renovated and provides a comfortable and inviting space for our dancers. Located in Kennington, Bendigo, we have ample parking and two fully equipped studios with mirrors and proper flooring. We also have a kitchen facility where parents and students can relax before or after class.
