Life Balance Yoga is a tranquil and inviting yoga studio located in Egerton, near Ashford, in the heart of Kent. The studio also offers classes at the Maidstone Yoga Centre. The founder and main instructor, Leo, is a fully qualified Intermediate Level 3 IYENGAR yoga teacher with extensive experience in the field.
At Life Balance Yoga, the emphasis is on safety and individualised attention. Leo guides each student through a systematic and safe programme of asanas (postures), allowing them to develop at their own pace and capacity. The classes focus on alignment and precision, which helps improve posture, flexibility, and overall stability of the mind and body. Many students have reported improvements in back problems, as well as experiencing increased physical wellbeing and mental health.
IYENGAR yoga, the main style taught at Life Balance Yoga, is rooted in the traditions of ancient Indian texts. It has gained popularity in the West due to its accessibility and effectiveness. In addition to face-to-face classes, Leo and her colleague, Lin, have developed various ways to help students practise yoga at home or while travelling.
The Life Balance Yoga website provides information about class costs, times, and venue details. Classes cost 8. 00 and payment can be made in cash or via BACS. Class times are on Tuesdays from 18:30 to 19:45 and on Thursdays from 13:30 to 14:45.
The studio is located at Egerton Millennium Hall in Egerton, Ashford.
The studio takes a break over Christmas, with the last classes of the year held in late November and early December. Classes resume in January. Students are encouraged to join the WhatsApp Group for any weather-related cancellations or contact Leo directly.
Life Balance Yoga also offers yoga equipment for new students to borrow, although students are encouraged to purchase their own equipment. A basic kit includes a thin yoga mat, 4 foam pads, a blanket, and a yoga belt. Additional props such as yoga bricks and a yoga bolster can also be purchased.
