Of Dance (RAD) and Ballet Australasia Limited (BAL) Lily Fong is a highly experienced and passionate ballet teacher, as well as the Artistic Director of Lily Fong Ballet Academy. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland, Lily brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to her teaching.

Located at 407 Great South Road in Greenlane, Auckland, Lily Fong Ballet Academy provides a nurturing and inspiring environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels. The academy's goal is to encourage the natural desire to respond and move to music, while emphasising the importance of correct technique and individual artistry.

Classes at Lily Fong Ballet Academy are thoughtfully prepared and conducted with care. Each student receives technical guidance and is gently encouraged to develop their artistic quality, allowing them to express their depth of feeling and love for dance. The academy offers a wide range of classes to cater to different interests and ages. The Twinkle Toes class is designed for children aged 3 to 5, providing them with a happy introduction to dance in a caring and fun-filled environment. Through stories, games, nursery rhymes, and movement to music, children develop coordination, musicality, rhythm, self-discipline, and confidence.

Ballet classes are available for children from the age of 4. 5 and are offered at all levels. Students are prepared for examinations, with entry encouraged but optional. Lily Fong Ballet Academy follows the syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Ballet Australasia (BAL).

Jazz classes are available for children aged 5 and older. Like ballet, students are prepared for exams with entry optional. The academy follows the syllabi of Ballet Australasia (BAL) and the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD).

Contemporary dance classes are also offered, with levels based on the NZAMD syllabus. Students have the option to participate in exams.

The academy also offers classes in National Character, Tap, Open, Theatre, and Adult dance. Adult classes are available for beginners as well as those with previous experience.

Private individual lessons are available for those seeking personalised guidance in their dance training.

Lily Fong Ballet Academy also holds an annual stage production and prize-giving event in November/December, where all students are encouraged to participate.
