The Lynden School of Dance & Acrobatics is excited to offer a fantastic dance class called Little Tots, specially designed for children aged from 2½ up to approximately 5 years old. We believe in the power of dance to encourage self-expression and coordination, and this class does just that in a fun-filled way.
During the Little Tots class, our young dancers will have the opportunity to explore various dance styles including ballet, tap, modern/jazz, and musical mime. We believe in exposing children to a range of disciplines from an early age, as it helps to nurture their creativity and passion for movement.
One exciting aspect of the Little Tots class is the chance for children to participate in medal tests for musical mime. These tests are specifically designed to be simple and well within their abilities. Participating in these tests not only builds confidence but also introduces the children to the structure of more formal dance examinations that they will encounter as they grow older.
On test days, our little dancers will receive a small trophy and a report from the examiner, adding to their sense of accomplishment. Moreover, they will also be awarded a certificate from the prestigious British Theatre Dance Association, recognising their dedication and progress. We're incredibly proud of our students and love celebrating their achievements!
It's important to note that while these Medal Tests are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory. We understand that each child progresses at their own pace, and some may prefer to focus solely on the joy of dancing without the added pressure of examinations. Rest assured, regardless of whether your child chooses to take the tests or not, they will continue to progress and develop their skills.
The cost for the Little Tots Dance class is £75.00 per 10-lesson term, including VAT. We believe in providing affordable and accessible dance opportunities for all children in our community, and this class is no exception.
