Welcome to LJ Dance – Dance & Gymnastics Club, a small but mighty dance and gymnastics school located in Preston, New Zealand. LJ Dance is a family-oriented club with a passionate team of coaches who aim to inspire and develop the skills of both new and existing members.

At LJ Dance, we believe that dance and gymnastics are not only incredible sports but also art forms that can provide lifelong skills, friendships, creativity, and confidence. Our club offers exceptional classes in both dance and gymnastics, catering to children and young adults of all abilities.

In our acrobatic gymnastics classes, partnerships of gymnasts work together to perform figures consisting of acrobatic movements. This discipline encourages teamwork, strength, and agility.

For those interested in contemporary dance, our classes offer an expressive and creative outlet. Contemporary dance is an art form that draws from classical, modern, and jazz styles, allowing dancers to explore various movements and techniques.

If you're looking for a class with energy and rhythm, our jazz dance classes are perfect. Originating from Black American society, jazz dance has become popularised in ballrooms and is characterised by its connexion to swing-era music.

If you prefer a more urban and street-inspired style, our street dance classes are designed to help dancers embrace their individuality and creativity. Street dance emerged outside of dance studios and is now widely recognised as an umbrella term encompassing various styles.

Our 2022 Finale show was a huge success, showcasing the incredible talent of our dancers and gymnasts. We are excited to announce a new class starting this month – Contemporary Dance for ages 5 and up.

LJ Dance is a freelance company that runs classes in various locations across Lancashire and the North of England. Additionally, we offer exciting workshops and classes to schools, colleges, and universities in a diverse range of dance styles. We also provide after-school and lunch clubs in both dance and gymnastics, offering a fun and energising experience for children.
