Located near Ruthin in Denbighshire, North Wales, Llanbedr DC Karate Club is a non-profit organisation dedicated to teaching the traditional Shotokan style of karate to both youngsters and adults. As full members of the Welsh Karate Governing Body (WKGB), our members have the opportunity to compete in a variety of prestigious events sanctioned by the World Karate Federation (WKF). These events include the British Karate Federation Championships, the European Karate Federation Championships, the Karate 1 premier League, and the WKF World Championships.
In addition to our affiliation with the WKGB and the WKF, Llanbedr DC Karate Club is also proud to be associated with the Japan Shotorenmei Karate Federation in Tokyo, Japan. This strong bond with Japan opens up exceptional opportunities for our members. Not only do our Dan grades have the privilege of being registered in Japan, but our members also have the potential to enter Teikyo University and take part in the prestigious Honbu Dojo instructors' course.
At Llanbedr DC Karate Club, our primary focus is on practical self-defence. While we aim to equip our students with effective self-defence techniques, the training methods and exercises we employ also promote a high level of fitness and self-confidence.
