Welcome to Lockyer Valley Dance Centre, a dance school located in Plainland, Australia. Established in 2016, our mission is to provide our students with quality dance training while instilling confidence, creativity, and character that will empower them to achieve greatness throughout their lives.

At Lockyer Valley Dance Centre, we prioritise the growth and well-being of our students. While they excel in examinations and eisteddfod work, our main focus is to support them through their dance journey, promoting their confidence and fostering friendships in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe in inclusiveness, ensuring that every child feels adored, special, and important from their very first lesson and throughout their dance journey.

We strive to inspire our students to dream big, find passion, and develop a lifelong love for dance that extends to other aspects of their lives. In addition to focusing on dance techniques and skills, we provide a safe place where students can grow, make friends, and feel like a part of our dance community.

If you're interested in performance opportunities, Lockyer Valley Dance Centre has options for everyone. We offer opportunities to join our performance teams, perform solos, duos, and trios in any genre, and participate in our end-of-year concert. Students can choose to do it all and have a fun and fulfilling experience at our dance centre.

Enrolment cutoff for Prep and above is on the 14th of September 2024, at the end of Term 3. Our administration hours are Monday to Wednesday from 3 pm to 7 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Email is our preferred method of communication, and we monitor it regularly throughout the day.

Let us introduce you to our dedicated team. Sharee Stirling, our principal, is highly experienced in all facets of dance. Her credentials include a Diploma of Tap Dance Teaching (LGTDA), Teachers Certificate (CSTD – Tap & Theatrical), Teachers Diploma (CSTD – Tap & Theatrical), Jazz Award (CSTD), Modern Jazz 8, and a Bachelor of Education (Primary). Sharee recently co-created the new Comdance (CSTD) Tap syllabus, providing a strong foundation of tap technique for students of all levels.

Kate O'Keeffe serves as our Operations Manager. Kate's dance journey started at the age of 4, and she studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre. She has been involved in prestigious events such as the Sydney Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, Olympic torch relay ceremonies, School Spectacular, and Rock Eisteddfod. Kate brings her passion and expertise to create a positive and enriching experience for our students.
