Upon arrival at Lodge Equine Stables, please use the provided hand sanitiser and wash your hands regularly during your visit. We have implemented increased cleaning and sanitising protocols for all high-touch surfaces and equipment to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

To maintain social distancing, we kindly ask that only one parent/guardian accompanies their child to the yard. Spectators are currently not permitted to minimise the number of people on-site at any given time.

At Lodge Equine Stables, safety is our top priority. Our experienced and qualified instructors ensure that all riders, regardless of age or experience, receive proper guidance and support. We offer both group and private lessons tailored to individual needs and abilities.

Our ponies are well-cared for and loved, and we believe it's important for riders to develop a connexion with them. In addition to riding lessons, we offer “Own A Pony Days” where participants can learn about the ponies' care, grooming, and even hear from equine enthusiasts and professionals in the field.

The riding school is run by Lesley Johnston, a passionate and knowledgeable horsewoman with years of experience. Lesley has a BHS AI qualification and regularly updates her teaching skills by attending courses and seminars in her field. Her dedication to teaching and motivating riders of all ages and experience levels shines through in her lessons.

Located in Richhill, Co. Armagh, Lodge Equine Stables started fulfilling Lesley's lifelong ambition in April 2009. Since then, the riding school has grown in popularity, thanks to the support of our valued customers. In 2013, we moved to our current location, a testament to our ongoing expansion and commitment to providing the best equestrian experiences.

We take pride in being a family-run business, with Lesley's husband and children actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the yard. Our commitment to delivering a safe and enjoyable experience extends to every member of our team.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, we have horses suitable for all levels. In addition to lessons, we offer hacking, birthday rides, and special functions. Our aim is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where riders can build confidence, develop their skills, and forge a lifelong love of horses.
