Looking for a place to stay active and have fun? Check out the Lord Beaverbrook Rink (LBR) on Main Street in Saint John's North End! Named after the generous Sir William Maxwell Aitken, this year-round facility has everything you need: ice skating, arena rentals, and seating for over 2000 fans. Founded in 1960 and offering free parking, multiple dressing rooms, a canteen, and a lounge/conference room, LBR is your go-to spot for sports and events.
From October to March, enjoy high school hockey games, NBJHL matches, and minor league action. When the ice comes off from April to September, get ready for evening ball hockey. But that's not all—the LBR is known for hosting concerts, boxing and mixed martial arts matches, wrestling tournaments, roller derby, circus shows, trade shows, markets, and more.
Need a spot to walk during the winter? The LBR has a new walking track and bridge above the ice. It's free and open to the public, with five laps around the track equaling about 1 km. Just remember, the track may be closed during paid events, so call ahead.
For public skating schedules, ice rentals, or arena bookings, contact the LBR at (506) 652-6710. Hours can change due to events or holidays, so it’s always a good idea to check before heading over. Head to the Lord Beaverbrook Rink for a dynamic and fun experience in Saint John!
