Experience the beauty of Mahone Bay and the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg while participating in the Lunenburg Rowing Tour 2024. Hosted by Lunenburg Yacht Club Rowing in collaboration with Row NS, this tour offers three half days of rowing from 9 am to 1 pm, allowing participants free afternoons for exploration.
The tour itinerary includes different rowing routes each day, considering weather conditions and in consultation with participants. Highlights of the tour include a welcome dinner at Lunenburg Yacht Club, rowing to Andrew's Island and Indian Point, exploring Sacrifice Island and Heckman's Island, and a final row to Mahone Bay with picturesque views of the waterfront churches.
Participants can expect approximately 15 km of rowing each day in coastal waters with safety boats accompanying the tour. Prior rowing experience and physical fitness are required for participation. Get ready for an unforgettable rowing adventure in the stunning surroundings of Lunenburg!
