Karen, the organiser of Lyric Dance & Performing Arts School, reached out to the sports community with an exciting update. Situated in Kingston upon Thames, Karen’s school offers a variety of classes for children aged 2 to 14 years, focusing on ballet, modern dance, and performing arts.

Karen emphasises the importance of small class sizes, ensuring that each child gets the individual attention they need. This way, teachers can tailor their instruction to each student’s abilities, helping them grow in a nurturing environment.

The school is accredited by the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), offering exams in ballet and modern dance. They also provide LAMDA Musical Theatre exams, which are recognised globally and can contribute to a student’s portfolio and UCAS points.

Located in Kingston, Lyric Dance & Performing Arts School is easily accessible for children from Richmond, Surbiton, Twickenham, Teddington, Norbiton, Tolworth, Morden, and Wimbledon. Karen wants everyone to know that the school’s excellent programmes are open to all in these communities.

For the youngest dancers, there’s Tippie Toes classes, designed for children as young as 2. These sessions are a fun introduction to music and movement where parents can join in, fostering a love for the arts early on.

The school runs on a term basis, with the Autumn term from September to December, Spring term from January to March, and Summer term from April to July. Half-term breaks give students a well-deserved rest. The timetables are structured to cater to different age groups and skill levels.

Apart from their main location at Tiffin Boys' School, the school also offers classes at Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing Gym. Karen highlights that membership at the gym isn't required to attend these classes, making them accessible for everyone.
