Madden Swim School, run by Julie Madden, offers top-tier swimming lessons in Thatcham, catering to swimmers of all ages and skill levels, from age three up. With more than one prestigious training facility, lessons take place at The Oratory School in Woodcote and Downe House School in Cold Ash.

Julie ensures experienced instructors guide small groups of six, providing personalised attention to each swimmer. This low student-to-teacher ratio makes for a focused and productive training experience.

The school provides a range of lessons from non-swimmer programmes to advanced stroke improvement and diving courses. They also offer intensive classes to help beginners quickly become confident in the water and progress their skills efficiently. Recognising the busy lives of their students, Madden Swim School offers flexible lesson schedules. At The Oratory School, sessions run on Sunday afternoons and Friday evenings. Over at Downe House School, lessons are held on Saturday mornings as well as Monday and Thursday afternoons.

Both locations feature state-of-the-art 25-metre pools and comfortable viewing areas for parents. The Oratory School even has an on-site café where parents can relax while their children swim.
