Bill, the organiser, would like to extend a warm invitation to everyone in the sports community to join Maidenhead Athletic Club (MAC). Nestled in Braywick Park, just half a mile south of Maidenhead town centre and railway station, MAC is bustling with activities for athletes of all ages and abilities.

The Senior section has various meetings: Tuesdays for track training, Wednesdays for road running, and long runs on Sunday mornings. These sessions are perfect for anyone looking to boost their speed, endurance, and overall fitness.

The Junior section caters to kids aged 8 and up, offering coaching sessions on Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings. The young ones get to enhance their skills while having a blast with their peers.

MAC also runs an active racing programme, with plenty of individual events and race series throughout the year. One highlight is the Maidenhead Easter 10, drawing competitors from near and far. Bill and the team ensure these events are well-organised and fun.

Aside from sports, MAC hosts monthly social events, perfect for catching up and making new friends away from the track.

The clubhouse, opened in 2009 and adjacent to the exclusive 6-lane cinder track, is the perfect spot for members to relax before or after training.

Visitors to Maidenhead are always welcome to join MAC meets for free. So, whether you’re in town for work or a course, come along and stay active.

MAC’s team of dedicated volunteers, including various officers and committee members, work tirelessly to keep the club running smoothly. They truly make the club a fantastic place for all members.
