Making Strides, located in Glasgow, is a renowned horse riding school led by Mrs Rhoda McVey. With over 45 years of horse riding experience and a wealth of qualifications and expertise, Rhoda is dedicated to providing top-notch riding tuition and training for individuals of all skill levels.

The school offers regular training on one's own horse or pony, catering to a diverse range of riders, from serious students to nervous beginners. In addition to riding tuition, Making Strides also offers training in TREC, an exciting sport that promotes all-round horsemanship. Rhoda herself is a TREC specialist, having won the British Trec Level 2 Championship in 2009 and consistently placing in British Championships. TREC training sessions can be arranged as private tuition or tailor-made group sessions for friends.

As a British Horse Society Accredited Professional Coach, Rhoda's coaching and horse knowledge are highly regarded in the industry. Her commitment to professional development is evident through her regular attendance at refresher days and online training. Furthermore, Rhoda has been Disclosure checked and holds the BHS Equine Tourism Centre Manager certificate.

With a BA in Economics and Administration and extensive experience in the commercial property world and senior management in the voluntary sector, Rhoda brings a unique perspective to her role as an instructor. Her background in running activity holidays for young people since 1981 further demonstrates her dedication to the equestrian community.
