Making Waves Swim School

Want to make a splash in your swimming game? Millie Herbert and her top-notch team at Making Waves Swim School in St Albans, Hertfordshire have got you covered. Since 1991, they've been teaching everyone from little ones to adults to swim with confidence and skill.

They’ve got sessions at Sandringham School in St Albans and Aldwickbury School in Harpenden. Kids as young as 3.5 years can dive into lessons, whether they’re just starting out or already ripping through the water.

Teens, juniors, and grown-ups, there’s something for you too! Whether you’re a competent swimmer aged 10-16, looking to train as a rookie lifeguard, or an adult wanting to improve from scratch or join a serious squad, there’s a spot for you.

The awards you'll earn are backed by Swim England and the Rookie Lifeguard Award Scheme. The focus is on building confidence, improving stroke techniques, boosting endurance, and learning water safety – all this in a fun, relaxed setting.
