Manaia Golf Club

Manaia Golf Club is a picturesque golfing destination situated 15kms west of Hawera along Surf Highway 45 on the southern boundary of the Manaia Township in New Zealand. Surrounded by prime dairy land and offering stunning mountain views, this 18-hole course provides golfers with an interesting and pleasant challenge.

The Men's course measures 5469m and has a par of 71, while the Women's course is 4871m with a par of 72. Golfers will appreciate the easy walking layout of the course, making it enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Additionally, the Manaia Redoubt and an historic Maori Pa are located within the golf course, adding a unique cultural element to the experience. A walkway meanders through the course and along the banks of the Waiokura Stream, providing a serene and scenic setting for golfers to enjoy.

Visitors to the Manaia Golf Club are always welcome, and tee bookings are not required. However, it is advisable to confirm course availability beforehand. The clubhouse offers catering services and is also available for outside functions and Corporate Tournaments. Campervan facilities are provided for those who wish to stay overnight.

One of the highlights of Manaia Golf Club is its highly successful Junior Programme. The club takes pride in its development of young talent, with two girls currently in the New Zealand development squad. The club also hosts various golfing events throughout the week, including Men's Day on Saturdays, Ladies Day on Tuesdays (for both 9 and 18 holes), and Junior Coaching sessions on Sundays. Additionally, a monthly tournament is held on the last Wednesday of every month, with tee off from 9am and an entry fee of $8.

Membership options are available to suit different preferences and budgets, with subscriptions ranging from $275 for First Year members to $520 for Full Subscriptions (for both Men and Ladies). There are also options for 9-hole players, juniors, country members, and social members. A monthly payment scheme is available for those who prefer to pay their subscriptions in instalments.

Green fees for visitors are $20, offering excellent value for a round of golf on this beautiful course. The club has an active calendar of events, including both club-specific tournaments and events that are part of the wider Taranaki Golf Association schedule.
