Founded in 1985, Manaia Squash Club is a sports club located within the Parua Bay Community Centre on Whangarei Heads Road, near the Parua Bay Township in Parua Bay, New Zealand. The club features two top-notch glass backed courts and exceptional social facilities.
Manaia Squash Club offers a welcoming environment for players of all levels and ages, ranging from beginners to experts and juniors to mature players. The club holds regular club nights between late February and late November, with specific nights dedicated to different age groups. Mondays and Thursdays are reserved for junior players, Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm are for primary students, and Fridays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm are for intermediate and secondary students.
One of the highlights of Manaia Squash Club's calendar are the three annual tournaments. The season kicks off with an open tournament, followed by a masters tournament in September, and a highly popular Business House Handicap tournament in July. Additionally, teams from the club actively participate in Northland Squash's interclub competitions.
Club members have the privilege of booking courts to play at any time, outside organised club nights and tournaments. This ensures that players can enjoy the sport whenever they desire. Manaia Squash Club warmly welcomes new players, providing a supportive and inclusive community for all squash enthusiasts.
