Welcome to Mansfield Bowling Club, located in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Established over 300 years ago, the club has grown into a vibrant community offering more than just bowling. It includes a wide range of social activities for both bowlers and non-bowlers.
Andrew Lee, the organiser, is proud to share that Mansfield Bowling Club has over 100 bowling members and juniors, as well as many social members. Members have access to the bowling facilities six days a week during the outdoor season, with afternoon sessions available daily post-lunch. Additionally, the club organises various competitions, friendly matches, and league matches to keep everyone engaged.
In the winter months, members can enjoy indoor bowling every Friday morning at the South Forest Complex in Edwinstowe. There's also an indoor league on Wednesday afternoons, ensuring year-round bowling activities.
Coaching is a key part of the club’s offerings. The club works closely with students from Queen Elizabeth's Academy and local primary schools. Dedicated club coaches are available for individual members upon request, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages growth in the sport.
Beyond bowling, the club hosts various social activities. The Bridge Club meets every Tuesday morning. During winter, there are coffee mornings on Mondays, short mat bowls on Monday evenings, and social cribbage on Thursday evenings.
