Zealand distributor and dealer for most of the world's leading brands in cue sports. The Club aims to provide a family-friendly and welcoming environment for its several thousand members across the Waikato, Franklin, Auckland, and South Taranaki regions.
Mass began as the Waikato Snooker and 8 Ball Club, founded on February 11, 1992. It was established by a group of passionate players who enjoyed snooker, billiards, and pool. Since then, the Club has expanded to include four additional branches in Hawera, Glen Eden, New Lynn, and Pukekohe.
Over the years, Mass's membership has grown significantly, from a few dozen members in 1992 to over 13,000 in the past membership year. The Club is proud of the achievements of its members, with many of them winning numerous New Zealand titles, representing the Club or New Zealand overseas, playing professionally in the UK, and even capturing world titles in snooker and pool.
As the Club expanded beyond the Waikato region, it made sense to change its name to Mass, reflecting its focus on cue sports. The name “Mass” refers to a type of cue stroke where the cue ball is hit off-centre with the cue held almost vertically, causing the ball to move in a curved path around another ball before striking the object ball. However, despite its namesake, Mass does not allow Mass shots to be played on its tables due to the damage they can cause to the table cloth.
Mass offers a range of facilities and activities for its members and the public. These include cue sports and recreational equipment and products. The Club is also proud to be the New Zealand distributor and dealer for top brands in cue sports such as Riley, Predator, Valley, Poison, McDermott, Dynamo, and more.
For more information and to get in touch with Mass, interested individuals can visit their website or contact them by phone or email. The Club is committed to providing a quality experience for cue sports enthusiasts and creating a thriving community of players in New Zealand.
