Master Wallace Blackbelt Academy in Aberdeen, Scotland stands as a premier Tae Kwon-Do school, renowned for its commitment to teaching Traditional ITF Tae Kwon-Do, as developed by Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi. Affiliated with ITF Scotland and the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation (ITF), the academy ensures top-notch training adhering to global standards.
Led by Senior Instructor Grand Master Gordon Wallace, a 9th Degree black belt, the academy benefits from his extensive expertise. Instructor Mrs Jacqui Wallace, a 4th Degree black belt, alongside Assistant Instructors Mr Adam Kain and Mr Brandon Martin, both 1st Degree black belts, and Class Assistant Miss Jodie Kain, form a dedicated team guiding students through every step of their Tae Kwon-Do journey.
Founded by Grand Master Wallace in Montrose in 1984 and relocated to Aberdeen in 1989, the academy evolved into the Master Wallace Blackbelt Academy in 2007, following his promotion to 7th Degree black belt. After a brief relocation period in 2008, the academy found a new, permanent venue to continue offering excellent training.
Master Wallace Blackbelt Academy welcomes practitioners of all ages and skill levels. The academy offers a variety of classes tailored to different needs, from beginners building self-confidence to advanced students refining techniques and competing on national and international stages.
Emphasising discipline, respect, and personal growth, the academy not only builds physical strength and agility but also nurtures mental resilience and character in its students. The supportive community and experienced instructors ensure a challenging yet nurturing training environment.
Throughout the year, the academy hosts numerous events and competitions, providing students with the opportunity to compete in prestigious tournaments both in Scotland and internationally. Fundraisers, such as Amanda’s Bingo Night raising £500 and Paul’s Vroon Offshore sponsorship of £300, play a crucial role in supporting students' participation in events like the European Championships in Slovenia and the World Championships in Finland.
