MayWood Equestrian & Horse Riding School, located in the idyllic countryside of Goomboorian, just 20 minutes from Gympie QLD, is a family-owned equestrian training centre and riding school. With a beautiful property and a team of passionate coaches, MayWood Equestrian is dedicated to helping riders of all ages and skill levels to follow their equestrian dreams.

The school takes pride in its exceptional horses, which are in excellent health and receive top-notch care. Whether you are a nervous beginner or an experienced rider, MayWood Equestrian ensures a safe and supportive environment for all its students. The highly skilled and patient instructors have the expertise to help riders progress and gain confidence.

MayWood Equestrian is led by owner Katt Blakemore, who is dedicated to providing quality equestrian education. Katt is a qualified instructor with NCAS Level 1 Coach and PCQ Level C Coach certifications. Additionally, MayWood Equestrian employs a team of qualified instructors, including an Equestrian Australia Level G Dressage Judge and PCAQ Qualified Dressage Judge. The school is also proud to have a Blue Card accreditation and certified First Aid and CPR trainers.

MayWood Equestrian offers a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each rider. Whether you choose to ride your own horse or one of their beautiful school horses, you can benefit from private lessons or group lessons. Private lessons offer one-on-one focus between the rider and the coach, while group lessons provide opportunities to expand knowledge and build lifelong friendships.

For those with special needs, MayWood Equestrian is able to cater to NDIS clients, although they are not an approved provider. Each NDIS client is considered on a case-by-case basis to determine if MayWood Equestrian is the right fit.

For riders looking to enhance their skills in a short period, MayWood offers rider boot camps consisting of six lessons in six days. In addition, the school provides horse education services, including starting horses under saddle, bringing horses back into work, and furthering their education.

During school holidays, MayWood Equestrian offers a variety of camps suitable for all abilities and ages. These holiday programmes provide an excellent opportunity for riders to enjoy quality time with horses and gain valuable equestrian experience.
