The beat is guided by Head Ghillie Calum McRoberts and second ghillie Ian Jones, both of whom have extensive experience as guides and boatmen. They offer fly-fishing lessons and are happy to provide advice on tackle selection based on the current conditions. Meikleour Fishings is committed to following the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board conservation measures. They have a catch and release policy to ensure the sustainability of the salmon population. The club encourages visitors to support this policy.
