With over 24 years of experience in professional tennis coaching, the school prides itself on providing top-quality coaching services for players of all ages and abilities. The school's Director and Head Coach, George Georgopoulos, is a nationally qualified and accredited Tennis Australia Club Professional Coach. With over 25 years of coaching experience, both nationally and internationally, George brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the school. In his earlier tennis career, he competed at an elite level for four years, touring the playing circuit professionally across Europe. After spending seven years coaching professionally in London, George returned to his hometown of Melbourne to continue his coaching career.

At the Melbourne School of Tennis, the focus is not only on improving technical skills but also on creating a fun and inclusive environment for all players. The school offers a variety of programmes for juniors and adults, including the nationally recognised ANZ HotShots Tennis and Cardio Tennis programmes. The ANZ HotShots programme is designed for children aged 3-4 to 9+, with classes divided into different skill levels from blue to green. Upon completing the programme, juniors have the option to join competition squads or take private coaching lessons to further enhance their skills.

For adult players, the school offers group tennis lessons, ladies and mixed social tennis, cardio tennis, tennis active matchplay, and private and semi-private coaching. These classes cater to players of all levels, from beginners to advanced. The aim is to improve each player's ability and provide them with the confidence to enjoy the sport to the fullest. The coaching methods used are simple and effective, ensuring that players have fun while developing their skills.

The Melbourne School of Tennis operates on a term basis, with four terms held throughout the year. In addition, they offer Tennis Holiday Programmes during school breaks, allowing students to continue playing and improving their skills. If you prefer a more personalised coaching experience, the school also offers private residence coaching and classes, where the lesson is tailored to your specific needs and conducted on your own private tennis court.
