Continues today through our Adventure Grant programme. We provide financial support to club members who are planning unique and ambitious outdoor adventures. So, if you have a dream expedition in mind, don't hesitate to apply for the Adventure Grant and make it a reality!

At MUMC, we believe in the power of outdoor activities to push our limits, foster a strong sense of camaraderie, and develop valuable life skills. Our club offers a diverse range of activities, including bushwalking, canoe polo, canyoning, caving, conservation, mountaineering, rafting, rock climbing, rogaining, sea/touring kayaking, search & rescue, social events, training sessions, whitewater kayaking, and XC skiing. Whatever your interest or skill level, you'll find something that suits you.

Established in 1944, our club has a rich history and a strong community. Over the years, we have organised thousands of trips, from day walks showcasing breathtaking landscapes and wildlife to epic adventures in deep caves, on imposing cliff faces, and up majestic mountains. These trips provide rare opportunities to challenge ourselves and master the demands of demanding environments, both in nature and in life.

One of our most anticipated events is the annual Pie & Slide photo competition. Our club operates under Melbourne University Mountaineering Club Inc. , and we are proudly affiliated with Melbourne University Sport. We have a Code of Conduct that all members are required to abide by to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
