Melton City Runners (MCR) is a social running club located in the City of Melton, just 45 minutes away from Melbourne CBD. Established in 2015, MCR originated from the popularity of parkrun, with Toolern Creek parkrun serving as our home base. Our primary objective is to foster an inclusive environment while encouraging our members to strive for their personal best.

The iconic MCR “Orange Stripe” has become well-known among participants and volunteers at running events across Victoria. While our members take part in various competitions, they are equally dedicated to giving back to the sport by volunteering at events. It's not uncommon to find more MCR members supporting races rather than participating in them.

MCR organises regular training sessions and social runs as our everyday activities. These activities are led by qualified coaches, ensuring that our members receive expert guidance. Additionally, we provide insurance coverage for our financial members, prioritising their safety and well-being.

Apart from our scheduled running activities, MCR also hosts regular club gatherings. Typically, these social events take place after a run and feature a friendly, vegan-friendly BBQ. It's a great opportunity for our members to socialise, forge new friendships, and connect with like-minded individuals.
