Meraki Equestrian Centre offers horse riding lessons for riders of all ages and skill levels. Children as young as 5 years old to adults can participate in lessons tailored to their needs. With an indoor arena and stables, lessons can be conducted year-round regardless of weather conditions. This provides protection from the sun, rain, and ensures a comfortable experience for riders, instructors, and horses.
The facility features a purpose-built soft treadlite surface that is safe and not too deep or dusty, as well as secure arena kick walls and equine mirrors along the short side. Experienced riders also have the opportunity to enjoy trail rides on the property to warm down their horses.
In terms of safety, Meraki Equestrian Centre has several rules in place. Helmets must be worn at all times, and riders must wear flat-soled boots with a heel. Long-sleeved shirts and pants are required attire, with no singlets allowed. It is recommended that riders arrive 15 minutes prior to their lesson to ensure promptness.
The centre also has a 95 kg weight limit for riders, prioritising the well-being of their horses. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for booking to prevent overworking the horses and to allocate sufficient staff.
For those seeking a more personalised experience, private horse riding lessons are available. These one-on-one coaching sessions can benefit beginners, those looking to regain confidence, or riders aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge. Various time options are available, ranging from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
Group horse riding lessons are also offered on weekends, with a maximum of 8 students per group. These classes are designed for confident riders, and prior riding assessments and instructor approval are required before booking.
Meraki Equestrian Centre is also proud to offer NDIS approved lessons, which are claimable with clients' plans. Equine Facilitated Learning and Therapeutic Horse Riding Lessons are available options. Carers are requested to contact the centre before booking the first lesson to ensure accommodations can be made to meet the client's specific needs. During these sessions, a carer, or parent/guardian must remain on the property.
