In contrast, horse sharers contribute 100 per month (minimum 6-month commitment) plus one day of help per week. All the monies collected go back to the horses' care, as the owners subsidise the yard themselves.

To ensure sharers receive proper training, Ben, a professional and experienced trainer, is available on-site at an additional cost. However, Meritor Riding Stables is not a riding school. It primarily welcomes helpers interested in familiarising themselves with the care of large animals. Also, experienced riders who enjoy both the care and riding aspects are welcomed to become sharers.
Potential sharers must be honest about their own abilities and experience. Those who are still building confidence around large animals are encouraged to start as helpers.
