Opened in 1967, Metropolitan Gym is a part of Bushey Sports Club. It is a purpose-built members sports club that offers a wide range of sporting, leisure, and social facilities to the entire community. The gym prides itself on encouraging the local community to make use of its facilities and aims to provide a beneficial and fun workout experience.

Metropolitan Gym offers over 15 pieces of high-end equipment, including 7 cardio machines, 7 strength machines, 2 Olympic lifting racks, and a free weights area. They also have a functional training area and offer studio hire for group classes. For those seeking professional guidance, the gym provides on-site personal training and a sports injuries clinic.

With a quick and easy induction process, members can enjoy unlimited access to the gym all year round. The gym offers two types of memberships: Gym Only Membership for only 14 per month or 168 per year, and Gym and Club Membership which includes additional benefits such as free parking for one vehicle, discounted drink and food prices, and discounts on room hire for social functions.

The gym is open 7 days a week, with opening hours from 8am to 8pm on Sunday to Wednesday, and from 8am to 10pm on Thursday to Saturday. The gym also has a public bar and lounge with varying opening hours and food availability. The entire Bushey Sports Club offers event and sports facilities and has four fully appointed function rooms that can cater to a variety of occasions.
