Was unable to live on my own. It was a dark and scary time for me, not knowing what was happening or if I would ever get better.
After countless visits to doctors, specialists, and therapists, I was finally diagnosed with a severe case of anxiety and depression. I was put on medication and started therapy to help with my recovery. However, it wasn't just medication and therapy that helped me get better, it was also my own determination and willpower.
During my recovery, I started educating myself about mental health and its connexion to physical health. I realised that taking care of my body was just as important as taking care of my mind. I began incorporating exercise into my daily routine and saw the amazing impact it had on my mental wellbeing.
This newfound understanding and passion for mental health and fitness led me to pursue a career as a personal trainer. I wanted to help others who were going through similar struggles and show them that it is possible to overcome the stigma surrounding mental illness.
In 2013, I obtained my Level 3 Personal Training Certificate and specialised in various techniques such as Keiser Cycle, Circuit Training, Core Stability, Kettlebells, Padwork, and Suspension Fitness. However, the most significant aspect of my training is my knowledge and personal experience with mental health.
I am dedicated to not only helping my clients achieve their physical fitness goals but also supporting them in their mental health journey. I understand the challenges and struggles that come with mental illness, and I am here to provide guidance, support, and encouragement every step of the way.
