Mini Dolphins

Welcome to Mini Dolphins, a baby swimming school located in Harlow. Mini Dolphins offers swimming lessons for children aged 0 months to 7 years old. The school aims to create a magical bond between children and water, setting them up for a lifetime of confidence and safety around water.

For infants aged 0 months to 1 year, Mini Dolphins offers the Sea Stars class. This class focuses on introducing babies to swimming and building a bond with water through play. The instructor guides parents on how to hold their babies to ensure their safety, while incorporating toys, songs, and games to encourage exploration of the water.

As children become more active and start walking and communicating, they can join the Jellyfish class for ages 1–2 years. These lessons continue to emphasise play but also introduce new swimming skills such as swimming movements, bubble breathing, and jumping. Submersion is also introduced if the child is ready.

The Mini Dolphins class is designed for children aged 2–4 years. In this class, children learn more advanced skills such as simple stroke techniques, submerging to pick up objects, and jumping in. Play remains an essential component of the lessons, with warm-up games and songs included. Over time, parents will witness their child's development in confidence and trust in the water.

For children aged 3–5 years, Mini Dolphins offers the Sharks class. These classes have smaller class sizes, with only four children per instructor. Without parental guidance, children take their first steps into the water and learn essential skills such as breath control, floating, and basic strokes. The smaller class size allows the instructor to focus on each child's safety while providing an opportunity for the child to thrive.

Lastly, the Swordfish class is designed for children aged 5–7 years. This class focuses on beginner stroke technique and water safety. With a student-teacher ratio of 4:1, each child receives individual attention as they learn kicking, breathing, and basic strokes. The instructor is in the water with the students, providing hands-on instruction.

This class is an excellent opportunity for children to build confidence in the water.
