Frequently Asked Questions
Mississauga Masters offers a challenging and rewarding coached swimming experience with developmental and competitive opportunities for fitness improvement and high-performance results. We also support triathlon preparation as part of your practice focus.
Our club always welcomes new members and we do not prioritize based on speed. Coaches will evaluate whether you can safely and comfortably complete a practice, including following the sets prescribed by the coach.
As a guideline, practices typically include sets with segments of 100m without stopping, swimming between 2,500m and 3,500m, and swimming at least 2 or 3 different strokes. If you may not have swum for a while, we expect you to build up to the 2,500m+ distance over the course of a season.
