Mistley RUFC

Mistley RUFC, located in Manningtree, New Zealand, is a rugby club that has been thriving since its formation in 1983. The club was founded by Rodney Baxter in the back of a carpet van on the way back from Brentwood Rugby Club. Over the years, Mistley RUFC has grown into a great little club, fielding a Men's 1st and 2nd XV, as well as a range of youth teams from Under 7s up to Under 18s.

At Mistley RUFC, the focus is on passion, spirit, and strength. The club welcomes both existing and new players to join their enthusiastic and social teams. The Senior Men's section comprises two teams – the 1st XV and the Marauders. The 1st XV, which won the 2023 Suffolk Silver Cup and held the 2019 Suffolk Plate, competes in the Eastern Counties London & SE Division – Greene King IPA Eastern Counties 1 South.

The Marauders play in the Eastern Counties Greene King Leagues – Eastern Counties Division Two South.

In addition to the Senior Men's teams, Mistley RUFC also boasts a growing Women's/Girls section. The club prides itself on creating a supportive and welcoming environment for players of all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes.

Mistley RUFC is also committed to youth development, offering rugby opportunities for players aged U6 to U15. Regardless of experience, all players are encouraged to get involved and join the youth teams. The club holds training sessions for these age groups every Sunday at 10am at Furze Hill.
