Join the Mixed Ability Iyengar Yoga Classes at KK Yoga & Therapy in Matlock and improve your stamina, strength, and balance through a variety of yoga postures (asanas). This class is all about enhancing body alignment in asanas and teaching participants how to use yoga props for support and precision. Every week, you'll enjoy a unique class that contributes to your overall development. Plus, you'll also get to learn basic breathing techniques called Pranayama.
To get involved, remember to bring your own mat, bath robe or belt, and blankets/books or blocks. If you're new to Iyengar Yoga, we highly recommend attending the Introduction to Iyengar Yoga Classes. The Tuesday evening classes will run from 12th July to 2nd August, with a mid-September session included. Each class lasts for 1.5 hours. The price for the 4-class bundle is £32, or you can drop in for £10 per class. At KK Yoga & Therapy, you have the option to join in-person sessions or participate in live online yoga classes. Don't worry if you miss a class because you can either catch up within the block or receive a recording.
To reserve your spot, simply shoot an email to kk@kkyogatherapy.co.uk.
If you're looking for a more restorative focus and want to dive into Pranayama, we have a Wednesday evening class available at 9.15pm. For specific dates, please contact the organiser directly. This class is conducted online and is priced at £8 per session. Similar to the Tuesday class, you can catch up on any missed sessions by accessing recordings. And here's an added bonus – if you're eager to attend both Tuesday and Wednesday classes, you can get a discounted rate of £52 per week when you book as a block.
We understand that life can throw unexpected challenges at us, so if you're unwell, no worries! We can provide recordings for you to catch up on later. And for those who have been financially impacted by Covid-19, we offer the option to pay by donation.
We highly recommend booking in advance as our classes tend to fill up quite quickly. To secure your spot or inquire further, please reach out to kk@kkyogatherapy.co.uk. Participating in a full block of classes not only keeps you motivated but also helps you stay committed to building a regular yoga practice. Plus, it saves you some money! If you happen to miss a class within the block, you can simply catch up on the other day or request a recording. To book a block of 4 classes, drop an email to kk@kkyogatherapy.co.uk.
Lastly, we want to emphasise the importance of assessing your readiness for online classes. If you have any specific injuries or diseases, it's crucial to consult with your physician before starting. Pregnant individuals should also ensure they are following recommended practices. Remember, practising yoga asanas should always be done within your personal physical limitations, so progress gradually and avoid straining yourself. Please note that this programme/sequence is exclusively for existing yoga students and should not be seen as a substitute for proper medical advice. Consulting with your physician is essential before embarking on any new exercise program. By following this programme/sequence, you fully accept responsibility for any known or unknown risks, injuries, or damages that may occur.
We can't wait to see you at the Mixed Ability Iyengar Yoga Classes! Namaste!
