After many years without a football team, Mobberley Football Club (MFC) was recently reformed to provide FA qualified Football coaching sessions for all kids between school years 2 – 7. The club aims to offer a safe and enjoyable football experience for players of all abilities in the Knutsford area.
The club takes inspiration from the previous local team, 'Mobberley Rangers', and the first team to be fielded by MFC will be known as the 'Rangers' in honour of the town's football history. MFC currently consists of three age groups, with each team managed and coached by qualified FA coaches.
League and cup matches are typically scheduled for Saturdays, but in the absence of fixtures, training sessions will be held every Saturday from 10am to 12pm on the Ilford playing field. All MFC teams participate in the Timperley and District league in Cheshire.
During training sessions, FA-certified coaches provide fully structured sessions that include warm-up and cool-down periods, along with technical football routines and exercises. The focus is on individual skill development and teamwork, creating a well-rounded football education for players.
MFC always welcomes new players, and depending on the interest and support from parents and coaches, the club may introduce additional age groups in the future. To register your interest or ask any questions, please contact Steve on 07841539590 after 5pm or weekends, or email admin@mobberleyfc. Uk. Alternatively, feel free to turn up at the training sessions on Saturdays.
MFC would like to extend their gratitude to their sponsors, The Bulls Head in Mobberley, and PCB Security & Electrical for their ongoing support. Special thanks also go to the Mobberley Parish Council for their assistance.
Training sessions and matches take place at Ilford Way, Mobberley, Cheshire, on the Ilfords pitch. Sessions occur every Saturday and Sunday morning between 9am and 12pm. The club follows FA-approved football coaching guidelines and is open to players from school years 2 to 7.
For more information on the club's policies and codes of conduct, please visit the club's website and access the relevant PDF files. These documents cover areas such as bullying, disciplinary procedures, player, and spectator codes of conduct, equality, and safeguarding children policies.
