Monkstown Golf Club, located in a unique setting overlooking the beautiful Cork harbour, was established in 1908 and holds a rich history within its walls. The club's logo, a castle, pays tribute to the original castle that once stood on the grounds before the club moved to its present location to accommodate a growing membership.
From its humble beginnings as a 9-hole course, Monkstown Golf Club has evolved into one of the foremost 18-hole golf clubs in Munster. The dedication of its members over the years, along with top-class greenkeeper Martin Travers and staff, has transformed the club into a top golfing destination.
Upon arrival, guests are encouraged to visit the quality-stocked Pro shop under the guidance of renowned professional Cian McNamara and his P. G. A. qualified staff.
Lessons are available for both short and long game, as well as buggy and trolley rentals. The club also boasts a new state-of-the-art driving range and Trackman facility for players to fine-tune their skills.
