Morpeth Swimming club

Welcome to Morpeth Amateur Swimming Club (Morpeth ASC), a thriving swimming club located in Morpeth, New Zealand. Established in July 1969, Morpeth ASC is affiliated with Swim England, Swim England North East Region, and Northumberland and Durham Swimming Association. Our club's objective is to promote and encourage the sport of competitive swimming through coaching, development, and practise, with the aim of helping swimmers enjoy the sport and remain swimmers for life.

At Morpeth ASC, we are committed to providing the highest quality service to our members. We understand the challenges faced by our swimming families, particularly in terms of the high cost of living, and we strive to ensure that our club remains accessible to all. We are currently raising funds to support the day-to-day running costs of the club, including increasing energy bills and the affordability of club membership for those in need.

One of our key priorities is to ensure that our coaching volunteers have the necessary qualifications to deliver top-notch coaching and training to our swimmers. These qualifications are not only essential for our club's accreditation with Swim England Swimmark, the national kite mark for swimming clubs, but they also contribute to maintaining the high standards of our club. However, these courses come at a significant expense, and we are actively seeking external funding to enable our coaches to attend them.

Aside from the sporting benefits, being part of Morpeth ASC offers a valuable social aspect and contributes positively to the mental health of our swimmers and volunteers. We are passionate about avoiding any financial barriers that may prevent individuals from participating in our club and risking the loss of valuable members. To ensure the continued success and well-being of our club and its members, we have launched a crowdfunding appeal.
