Welcome to Muckamore Company of Archers, an archery club located in Ballyclare, New Zealand. This all-ability, family-oriented club offers a welcoming environment for archers of all ages and skill levels. With our own Junior Section for children over the age of 8, we strive to create a community where everyone feels welcome and where the camaraderie is just as important as hitting those golds!
At Muckamore Company of Archers, we offer have-a-go sessions and beginners courses throughout the year, based on demand. Whether you're interested in trying out archery for the first time or looking to improve your skills, our club provides the opportunity to learn and develop in a supportive and friendly setting.
The club has been in existence for over forty years, catering to archers of all abilities and styles. With over eighty members, we are proud of our growth and the diverse group that makes up our archery community. Archery is a sport that we know you will enjoy. It is one of the oldest sports still played in the same way as recorded in history. We are confident that, like over 90% of those who have experienced our have-a-go nights, you will be motivated to join our six-week beginners course. For indoor shooting, our main facility is located at the Burnside Barn, Moyra Road, Burnside, Ballyclare. We hold shooting sessions on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7pm to 9pm. During the outdoor season (May to Mid-September), we shoot at Ballyclare Rugby Football Club, The Cloughan, Doagh Road, Ballyclare. Thursday and Friday shooting sessions at this venue are dependent on weather and light conditions, with Thursday being reserved for Longbow shooters.
