Irish dance is not only a healthy activity that provides great exercise, but it also helps develop confidence, concentration, balance, coordination, structure, and discipline. Rachel Mulvihill and Debbie Cripps are passionate about instilling these values in their students through the art of Irish dance.
Rachel Mulvihill, born and raised in South East London, started Irish Dancing at the age of 9 and quickly rose to compete at major events, achieving top 10 or top 5 placements at international competitions such as All Irelands, World Championships, British Nationals, American Nationals, All Scotland, and Great Britain. Debbie Cripps, also a South East London native, was inspired to start Irish dancing after watching Riverdance at the age of 11. She excelled in the field and regularly achieved top three placements in championships, including being part of the winning figure team at the Great British Championships.
Mulvihill Academy's goal is not only to teach Irish dance but also to foster confidence, sociability, and teamwork in young aspiring artists. Through developing a sense of community, the Academy aims to enhance children's imaginations and boost their confidence in their creativity.
