With over 47 years of exclusive training in the martial arts, Grand Master Gary Johnson has studied under some of the greatest masters from around the world. His expertise spans multiple styles including Traditional Karate, Jiujitsu, eastern Kung Fy styles, Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga, among others. Grand Master Gary has extracted the finest points from these arts and continually enhances his teachings to stay up-to-date with the modern era. His unparalleled knowledge and prowess make him one of the most respected martial artists in Australia.
In addition to his extensive experience, Grand Master Gary has provided instruction to numerous security companies on proper control and self-defence techniques. He has also served as a personal bodyguard to several high-status individuals, including the legendary Sir Elton John. Recognised as a Samurai by the Emperor of Japan, Grand Master Gary has been inducted into both the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the World Karate Union Hall of Fame, further solidifying his outstanding contributions to the martial arts community.
Master Leanne (Janvrin) Johnson, a 7th Dan and Kyoshi-Sama, is a renowned instructor in Traditional Karate and Kata. Having won numerous gold and silver medals, as well as first-place trophies at Australian and international tournaments, she is highly regarded for her expertise in Traditional Kata. Under her guidance, many students have achieved silver and gold medals in both individual and synchronised kata.
Together, Grand Master Gary and Master Leanne have combined their wealths of knowledge to develop a comprehensive martial arts style called Munen Muso, which means “to act calmly and naturally in the face of danger. ” Through their exceptional guidance, numerous students have progressed to black belt level and beyond.
