Sensei I. Berisha wishes to extend a warm welcome to the sports community from Muswell Hill Karate Academy. As the Principal Instructor, Sensei Berisha invites all members, both new and returning, to join the academy's karate classes designed for both adults and children of all skill levels.
Muswell Hill Karate Academy conducts classes at various venues, including Tetherdown Primary School, Stroud Green, and Fortismere, ensuring convenience for residents of Muswell Hill, Hornsey, Crouch End, Finchley, Highgate, and Stroud Green. Additionally, sessions are held at local schools to provide greater accessibility for students.
Sensei Berisha and the team place great importance on traditional karate practices, fostering a friendly, safe, and enthusiastic environment for students to learn and grow. The academy’s instructors, who have coached at an international level, regularly organise special events with visiting professionals from around the world, offering a unique opportunity for members to learn from renowned masters.
Classes at Muswell Hill Karate Academy are led by qualified and experienced instructors who are fully insured and DBS checked. This ensures the safety and well-being of all students, backed by certification from the NSPCC and further credentials.
The academy operates on a term-based system, with the upcoming Autumn term for 2023 running from 11th September to 10th December. The Spring term for 2024 will commence on 12th January. Classes are held at various locations: Muswell Hill Primary School on Thursdays, Hornsey Parish Church for children on Thursday evenings, Stroud Green Primary School during lunchtimes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Tetherdown Primary School on Mondays.
Other venues include The Gower School for an after-school club on Thursdays, Highgate Junior School on Wednesdays and Fridays, Fortismere School for a self-defence course for sixth-form students on Wednesdays, and Archer Academy, with the schedule to be confirmed.
Regular grading examinations are an integral part of the academy's calendar, with the next one scheduled for 8th, 9th, and 10th December 2023 at Wilton Church groups. For further details, interested parties are encouraged to contact the office.
