Muswell Hill Rhythmic Gymnastics

Muswell Hill Rhythmic Gymnastics (MHRG) welcomes you! Claudia Vanni, the organiser, wants to remind everyone that MHRG is right in the heart of Muswell Hill in North London. As a not-for-profit, MHRG's goal is clear: to make rhythmic gymnastics accessible for young girls and to help them excel in the sport.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is an Olympic discipline that blends dance, gymnastics, and the use of apparatus like ropes, hoops, balls, clubs, and ribbons. It helps develop flexibility, strength, hand-eye coordination, and musicality. Gymnasts perform both individually and in groups, showing off routines that require strength, agility, and coordination.

MHRG offers classes for children starting from school year reception onwards, including both recreational sessions and squad training. Many of their squad members have succeeded at club, regional, national, and international levels. Every year, MHRG holds a display where gymnasts can showcase their skills to family and friends.

The MHRG coaching team, led by Franziska as the Head Rhythmic Coach and Ballet Teacher and supported by Melissa, the Club Secretary and Rhythmic Coach, along with Lauriane, Polina, and Ama, are dedicated to ensuring high-quality training. All coaches are DBS checked and hold First Aid certificates.

Claudia Vanni emphasises that the safety and well-being of the gymnasts are top priorities at MHRG. The club has a comprehensive Child Protection Policy and Privacy Notice to ensure a safe environment for all athletes. They also engage in fundraising to support gymnasts' training and development.
