About

Neegulbah Park Playground is excited to announce that Council’s NAIDOC Week Grant funding applications for 2024 are now open! This is a fantastic opportunity for not-for-profit organisations and schools to host culturally significant projects or events in celebration of NAIDOC Week. The theme for NAIDOC Week 2024 is 'Blak, Loud and Proud', showcasing and celebrating Indigenous identity.

Interested parties can apply for the NAIDOC Week Grant by reviewing the grant guidelines and submitting their applications online through the Lake Macquarie City Council SmartyGrants webpage. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 4 March 2024. Funds will be allocated to successful applicants to support projects or events that celebrate NAIDOC Week, taking place from 7-14 July 2024.

Neegulbah Park Playground encourages all Australians to learn, listen, and engage in meaningful dialogue during NAIDOC Week. Let's come together to celebrate the achievements, culture, and heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. For more information on NAIDOC Week, visit naidoc.org.au.
