Nakashima Judo Club, located in Vancouver, has a rich history dating back to 1968 when it was founded by a group of passionate Blackbelt members and dedicated parents. Led by Head Instructor Robert Nakashima, the club was named in honour of Yasumatsu Nakashima for his continued support and promotion of Judo in Vancouver. The club offers a range of classes for both juniors and seniors, with a focus on traditional Judo techniques and principles.
The club's schedule is divided into seasonal sessions, with classes running from September to December for fall, January to March for winter, April to June for spring, and July to August for summer. Junior classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while senior classes take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with an additional class on Fridays for open practice. Fees vary depending on the age group, with junior class attendees paying $38. 00 per month and senior class attendees paying $48.

In addition to regular classes, the club also offers special events and promotions throughout the year. Recent events include belt promotions and special presentations for Black Belt recipients. All members are required to belong to Judo Canada/B. C.
and pay an annual membership fee of $90. 00. Monthly fees are payable at the beginning of each term or session, with e-transfer being the preferred method of payment.
