Nancy, a qualified instructor from Relationships Australia and the Australian Institute of Social Relations, will be offering an Infant Massage course.
This course aims to provide parents with a deeper understanding of their babies and support their development through touch, massage, voice, and movement. Backed by evidence, it focuses on creating strong bonds and secure attachment between parent and baby. Participants will have the opportunity to learn 8 different massage routines for various parts of their baby's body, including a routine specifically designed for colic and unsettled babies.
One of the many benefits of infant massage is the strengthening of the connection between parent and baby. Through the use of body language and sounds, communication is enhanced, allowing for better understanding and interaction. Additionally, promoting family relationship health is a key aspect of this course.
The course consists of 5 sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours. This provides participants with ample time to learn and practice the massage techniques in a social setting with other parents. Private groups of up to 10 families can also be arranged, allowing for a more personalised experience.
