The Natalie Vinson School of Dance (NVSDD) is a renowned performing arts school in Camberley, established in 1992. With classes in Sunninghill, Ascot, and Warfield, Bracknell, NVSDD offers a wide range of dance and performing arts disciplines for students of all ages and abilities.
The school prides itself on being a multi-award-winning institution, providing top-quality training in various dance styles such as Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, Tap, GCSE Dance, Babies Ballet, LAMDA, Street Dance, Adult Classes, Boys-only Classes, Contemporary, Pointe, Drama, Pilates, Yoga, Musical Theatre, Acrobatic Arts, Limbering, Progressing Ballet Technique, and ISTD Modern, among many others. The diverse range of classes ensures that there is something for everyone to enjoy at NVSDD.
One of NVSDD's standout programmes is the Dance GCSE Course, which has been running since 2005. This course is open to all students and has an outstanding track record. Over 93% of NVSDD's students have completed the course in Year 10, a year ahead of their other GCSE subjects. With a 100% pass rate, 183 students have successfully completed the course in the last seventeen years, with many achieving full marks in their Practical Units.
NVSDD is the only school in the local area to offer this GCSE course, and over 98% of their students have achieved A*/B grades (Grades 9-5).
In addition to the comprehensive dance curriculum, NVSDD students have the opportunity to take part in examinations, competitions, and festivals to showcase their talents. With thousands of examinations taken in the school's 30-year history, NVSDD students have a remarkable success rate, with the majority achieving top grades. The school has also seen students excel in festivals, competitions, and auditions for prestigious youth companies and scholarships such as the London Children's Ballet, Surrey Youth Ballet, RAD Dance Challenge, National Youth Theatre, New Youth Music Theatre, and many more.
