NCC Early Swimmers, the local swimming club in Nambour, is excited to announce an upcoming swimming event that is sure to make a splash! This event is perfect for all swimming enthusiasts, especially those who are looking to enhance their technique and skills in the water.
At NCC Early Swimmers, they believe in providing a progressive learning experience for children of different ages and skill levels. They offer a range of classes that cater to the needs of every little swimmer. Let's dive into what they have to offer!
For children aged 6–36 months, the Wonder Infants program is just the thing! This program introduces water familiarisation, exploration, and safety skills through fun activities like submersions, water orientation, and floating. Plus, parents and carers get to be actively involved, making it a truly special bonding experience.
As children transition from Wonder classes, the Courage program is the next step. With classes like Courage 1/Transition, children who have completed the Wonder 3 class or are new to the aquatic environment can focus on advanced safety skills, kicking, paddling arms, and body position. It's a great foundation for building water confidence.
For those ready to take it to the next level, Courage 3 is the perfect entry-level class in the water confidence program. Basic kick and paddle skills are emphasised, with children expected to swim 3 meters unaided using a flutter kick and demonstrate a pop-up breath. This class sets the stage for even more progress.
Once children have conquered Courage 3, they can move on to Courage 4, an assessment-based class that takes their skills to new heights. From breath control to streamline, kicking, and paddling, this class ensures that children swim confidently and unaided for 5–7 meters with correct body position. They will also perform a range of other essential skills.
And finally, NCC Early Swimmers offers Courage 5, the first level in their stroke development program. In this class, children who have mastered all the skills of Courage 4 will learn freestyle and backstroke arms. It's an exciting opportunity for young swimmers to take their strokes to the next level, as they must swim 5–10 meters of freestyle with controlled arms and perform '4 big arms' before taking a breath.
To further enhance the learning experience, classes at NCC Early Swimmers are kept small to ensure maximum teaching time. This means that each swimmer gets the attention and guidance they need to thrive in the water.
So, if you're looking to join a swimming event that focuses on technique-based learning and progressive skill development, look no further than NCC Early Swimmers. Dive into the world of swimming with confidence and make a splash at this exciting event!
