Get ready to kick off 2025 with a splash, courtesy of Uswim! Head over to Salford Quays for the New Year's Day Swim event and embrace the chill in the air as you take a dip in Dock 9 at MediaCityUK. This event is a classic favorite for water enthusiasts who love a good cold water challenge.
Participants of all ages are encouraged to join in on the fun, with a special welcome to young swimmers aged 7-15. The water is expected to be a refreshing 7c, so get ready for an invigorating experience. Choose between the 250m towfloat-compulsory course for those confident in their swimming abilities, or opt for the 100m non-towfloat course if you're looking for a quick open water swim.
Registration kicks off at 10:15 am, with swimmers setting off in waves at 15-minute intervals. Convenient parking is available right by the venue, and amenities like changing tents and showers are ready for use. Oh, and did we mention there will be free hot drinks and cakes for all participants on the day? Wetsuit rentals in various sizes are also available on-site.
