Welcome to Newbury Cricket Club, a friendly and inclusive cricket club located in Newbury, New Zealand. Established in 1822, we have a rich history and have been playing at our current home ground on Northcroft Playing Fields since 1947.
Our club is proud to have three Thames Valley Cricket League sides, as well as an occasional Sunday eleven and a growing junior section that caters to players of all ages from Under 9 upwards. Our junior players are coached by experienced Level Two ECB qualified coaches, and we offer both winter indoor nets and summer nets and training at our own Northcroft cricket ground.
Playing at Newbury Cricket Club is a unique experience, as our ground is located right in the town centre with the river running along one boundary and Northcroft Lane on the other. The view of the church spire in the background adds to the picturesque setting. In the evenings, the light across the outfield from the setting sun beyond Northcroft Leisure Centre can create a truly beautiful atmosphere.
