Founded by professional flamenco dancer Deya Miranda Giner, it is the first and only flamenco dance school and fitness studio in the region. With a strong passion for flamenco and a desire to promote Spanish culture, Deya brings her years of training and experience to the Hunter Region through dynamic classes and captivating performances.

Deya Miranda Giner, the principal dance instructor at Newcastle Flamenco Dance Studio, has an inspiring story that will encourage anyone to pursue their dreams. Starting her flamenco journey at the age of 16 in Menorca, Spain, Deya quickly fell in love with the art form. She continued her training in Sydney with flamenco dancer Diana Reyes before deciding to travel back to Spain to immerse herself in the heart of flamenco dance.

During her time in Spain, Deya had the incredible opportunity to study with renowned master dancers such as La Lupi, El Carrete, and La Rosa de Mlaga. She also made her debut as a dancer at the 'Gypsy Tablao' in Mlaga, performing alongside the famous El Carrete. Deya's commitment to her craft led her to Seville, where she furthered her studies at the prestigious flamenco dance school of Cristina Herren. Under the tutelage of Juana Amaya, she honed her skills and danced intensively.

Since returning to Australia, Deya has dedicated herself to sharing her passion and knowledge of flamenco dance. The Newcastle Flamenco Dance Studio not only provides top-quality classes but also welcomes collaborations and new projects.
