New Dance Horizons

New Dance Horizons is a vibrant and dynamic arts organization based in Regina, offering a wide range of dance-related programs and events. As they enter their impressive Season 38 from August 2023 to July 2024, they continue to be a hub for creativity and innovation in the local arts scene.

At the core of New Dance Horizons is a commitment to teaching and learning dance. They offer classes in a variety of styles, including Mtis Jigging Lessons, Bellydance, Contemporary Fusion, and the Franklin Method. Their classes cater to individuals of all skill levels, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for dancers to hone their craft.

One of the highlights of New Dance Horizons is their collaboration with artists and musicians to create unique and immersive dance performances. The Kinder Project, a collaboration by Robin Poitras, Edward Poitras, and Gordon Gerrard, is a standout example, featuring Gustav Mahler's Songs on the Death of Children. These performances showcase the innovative and boundary-pushing work that New Dance Horizons is known for.

To support their work and mission, New Dance Horizons invites individuals to become Friends of New Dance (FOND) by making a donation. This support helps ensure that they can continue to offer high-quality programs and events to the community and beyond.

In addition to their classes and performances, New Dance Horizons also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the Stream of Dance Festival and the Pelican Project. These events provide opportunities for artists and audiences to come together and celebrate the power of dance.

Located at 2207 Harvey St in Regina, New Dance Horizons is easily accessible to the community.
